Zar

Zar is co-founder of Amsterdam Funk Channel. He has been using the pseudo ‘ZAR’ since 1982. First as a notorious graffiti artist, and later in the radio world. However, many will also know the nickname from the soccer scene, at Ajax. Zar played at the famous and infamous “Radio Juul” (by Jules Jie R.I.P.) at the Da Costakade Amsterdam, “Blacklight” (Hoorn). Together with Lesley Jones, Zar is a co-initiator of the ‘Classic Sunday’ concept, and implements this widely respected concept at Amsterdam Funk Channel.
