Sven HiGH CBS. Never Forget.

Amsterdam, August 17, 2011 is a black day in the hearts of many Amsterdammers, and certainly Ajax fans. The Friday before, a hitherto unknown man shot Sven Westendorp in cold blood, and Sven finally succumbed to his wounds on August 17th.

Zar and Sven had been blood brothers for more than 25 years, and regularly spoke to each other about Ajax and AFCA. Sven was serious about AFCA TV, and also wanted to start a radio station. After a meeting with founder Lesley and Zar, in the AFC.FM studio, a few days before that black day, it quickly became clear that they could make something very beautiful together. It would be a kind of merger between AFCA Radio / TV and AFC.FM. It should be clear that this collaboration never materialized…

So AFC.FM is actually also a bit of Sven’s brainchild, and he will never be forgotten at AFC.FM.

The cowardly murder of Sven Westendorp is still unsolved, and maybe it will stay that way, but we will never forget!
