RiP Gwen McCrae
It is with great sadness that we share the news that Gwen McCrae, the legendary voice behind “Keep The Fire Burning” and “Funky Sensation”, has passed away at the age of 81. Her unique voice and soulful grooves have inspired generations and her music continues to resonate on dance floors and radio stations worldwide.
For everyone who grew up with her hits and for the listeners of Amsterdam Funk Channel this is a great loss. We want to honor her by continuing to play her music and keep the groove alive. Rest in peace, Gwen, and thanks for the unforgettable vibes. We’ll keep that fire burning!
